<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Hello and welcome!</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I’m Renea Mackie &#8211; coming to you from Lincoln, in the Canterbury region of New Zealand. I&#8217;m the creator of Donk — the cool donkey who can’t draw horses (but finds his own wonderful way anyway).</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After a few busy and challenging years, I’m so excited to be hitting “refresh” here on my website and sharing Donk’s adventures with you. Life certainly threw some curveballs — most notably my husband’s cancer recovery journey — but we’re through the toughest part, and I’m back creating with fresh energy and a full heart.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Why Donk?</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Donk was born from my lifelong love of wonder, creativity, and “magic bubble” moments. As a child, I adored colouring in, building houses with Lego, getting lost in fantasy stories, and that special feeling when everything just felt possible. Later, I ran creative labs and digital classes with kids and teens, watching them light up when given space to invent, collaborate, and see things from different perspectives.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Donk carries all of that spirit. He’s not perfect at everything (just like the rest of us), but he’s curious, kind, and full of delight. His stories celebrate self-discovery, imagination, trying new things, and finding joy in your own unique way.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What You’ll Find Here</h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://reneamackie.com/rm/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Donk-Book.jpg"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://reneamackie.com/rm/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Donk-Book-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-562" srcset="https://reneamackie.com/rm/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Donk-Book-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://reneamackie.com/rm/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Donk-Book-300x225.jpg 300w, https://reneamackie.com/rm/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Donk-Book-768x576.jpg 768w, https://reneamackie.com/rm/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Donk-Book-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://reneamackie.com/rm/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Donk-Book-2048x1536.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></a></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I’ve just received the first printed copies of the <strong>Donk’s storybook</strong>, and it will soon be available through Amazon and wider distribution. To go with it, I’m putting together a special <strong>Donk’s Digital Bubble Printie Pack</strong> — a digital bundle that includes:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>The full story in easy-to-read spreads</li>

<li>Printable colouring and activity pages</li>

<li>Fun printable sticker sheets</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These are designed to spark creativity and wonder at home — perfect for rainy days, car trips, or quiet moments of make-believe.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><a href="https://reneamackie.com/rm/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Ren-M-Working.png"><img decoding="async" width="1188" height="1522" src="https://reneamackie.com/rm/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Ren-M-Working.png" alt="" class="wp-image-569" style="aspect-ratio:0.7500000177153128;width:790px;height:auto" srcset="https://reneamackie.com/rm/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Ren-M-Working.png 1188w, https://reneamackie.com/rm/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Ren-M-Working-234x300.png 234w, https://reneamackie.com/rm/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Ren-M-Working-799x1024.png 799w, https://reneamackie.com/rm/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Ren-M-Working-768x984.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1188px) 100vw, 1188px" /></a></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I’ll also be sharing more Donk stories, behind-the-scenes peeks, activity ideas, and inspiration drawn from my whimsical adventures in life, and that magical feeling I loved so much as a child.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Come Along for the Adventure</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you’d like to follow along on this new chapter, I’d love you to:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Join my email list (I’ll send occasional updates and the occasional free printable)</li>

<li>Follow me on Instagram <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reneamackie/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@reneamackie</a></li>

<li>Keep an eye on the shop — the Adventure Pack will be ready very soon!</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Thank you for stopping by. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, teacher, or fellow dreamer, I hope Donk’s world brings a little extra wonder and delight into your days.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Let’s create some magic bubbles together! <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f434.png" alt="🐴" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f4ad.png" alt="💭" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Warm wishes, </p>
